Düsseldorfer Unternehmen richtet Plattform für die OB-Wahl ein
Das Düsseldorfer Unternehmen „Crowdrange.de“ hat eine Plattform für Thomas Geisels Oberbürgermeisterwahl eingerichtet. Darüber sollen nun bis zum Freitag vor der Wahl 5000 Euro eingesammelt werden. Beim digitalen Spendenaufruf kommen die Dynamik der Masse und vor allem das virale Verbreitungspotential im Internet zum Tragen.
Nikdad Nasseh, Gründer und Vorstand von Crowdrange: „Crowdfunding ist ideal für die Finanzierung von Aktivitäten, die bereits von einer großen Zahl von Menschen unterstützt werden. Unsere Plattform bietet sich daher für alle Formen von sozialem Engagement und damit natürlich auch für die Finanzierung von Wahlkämpfen an – unabhängig von der Partei oder dem Zweck.“
Thomas Geisel, der heute Vormittag den Startschuss fürs Crowdfunding gegeben hat: „Wor sehen ja, dass wir den Schwung auf unserer Seite haben. Wir haben noch eine Menge kreativer Ideen für die letzte Phase, die Umsetzung ist aber auch von der weiter wachsenden Zahl von Unterstützern abhängig. Wir wollen Digiscooter, Lichtkunst und im wahrsten Sinne leckere Werbung einsetzen, die an die für Düsseldorfs Zukunft entscheidende Wahl am 15. Juni erinnern.“
Die Crowdfunding-Kampagne läuft bis zum 13. Juni. Die jeweils aktuelle Spendensumme kann live im Netz unter crowdrange.de und thomasgeisel2014.de mitverfolgt werden.

Was ist Crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding nutzt die Dynamik der Menge bzw. des „Schwarms“. Etabliert hat sich die Finanzierungsmethode für innovative Technikprodukte, Konzerte, Kunstprojekte und gemeinnützige Initiativen. Der Film „Stromberg“ ist eines der aktuellsten erfolgreichen Crowdfunding-Projekte, bei dem die Kinogänger_innen durch ihre Spenden die Filmproduktion vorfinanziert haben.1
Auf den Crowdfunding-Plattformen wie Crowdrange.de, startnext.de oder Kickstarter.com stellen Personen, Initiativen oder Gruppen ihre Ideen mit Videos, Bildern und Texten vor. Finden die Besucher_innen der Plattform eines der Projekte interessante, unterstützen sie durch eine Geldspende die Realisierung. Dafür wird vorab ein Finanzierungsziel und –zeitraum festgelegt. Kommen im vorgegebenen Zeitraum genug Spendengelder zusammen, gilt das Crowdfunding als erfolgreich. Kommt nicht genug Geld zusammen, kann das Geld entweder zurück an die „Investoren“ gehen oder für eine Teil-Umsetzung an die Initiatoren des Aufrufs ausgezahlt werden.
Oftmals funktioniert Crowdfunding als Vorfinanzierung, d.h. es werden Tickets für einen Film verkauft, bevor dieser produziert wird. Das eingeworbene Geld hilft dann den Film zu ermöglichen. Im Fall des Wahlkampfes ist dies nicht möglich, die „Investoren“ helfen auf diesem Wege aber direkt beim Wahlkampf mit und schaffen so gemeinsam das Ziel: „Den Wechsel in Düsseldorf.“

Wahlkampf kostet Geld. Dieses durch crowdfunding (Schwarmfinanzierung) zu generieren, ist zweifellos eine gute Idee. Zwar steht bei dieser Art einer Vorfinanzierung, zumeist in Gestalt der stillen Beteiligung, gewöhnlich eine monetäre Ertragsaussicht im Raum, aber die Förderung idealistischer oder altruistischer Zwecke ist ebenso zulässig.
Ganz neu ist die Idee des crowdfunding nicht: 1846 wurde die Hälfte der Mittel für den Bau der Statue of Liberty auf diesem Wege zusammengebracht; überwiegend durch 1-Dollar-Beträge. Das steht nicht nur bei Wikipedia.
Tragen Sie bitte mit dazu bei, dass diese Aktion erfolgreich wird. Dann erübrigt sich die Frage, wohin mit dem Geld, wenn die erstrebte Summe nicht erreicht wird. Von mir aus mag sie als Finanzierungsbeitrag für die laufenden sonstigen Kosten des Wahlkampfes vereinnahmt werden. Für “lecker” reicht es ja vielleicht.
Leute: Auf fünf Bierchen oder 20 Fluppen z.B. -mal so als Orientierung- kann Mann/Frau doch mal verzichten. Abgesehen von der Gesundheit gibt es unendliche viele schlechtere Gründe dafür.
